I’ve had a productive couple of days-despite my neck playing up again. The cards above are an order-a social worker has asked for some cards to give to her clients to congratulate them on getting through the adoption panel.

Birthday card using my new Happy Birthday cuttlebug embossing folder-I love this colour combination

Wedding acceptance card made using Di Hickman’s challenge this week

and finally a couple of challenges from Carolyns!

The first card is for the Daring Cardmakers challenge to use something from the office. I used staples and a clip(ok it was a craft clip, but I do have a couple of those I use in my office too, honestly!)
I had to make a couple more cards just to say Hi, one for a friend we are going to Eurodisney with in July, and one for Gambo, a little boy I sponsor in Nigeria. Its hard to know what to write to him, he’s only 6, but he does love football!
So, having done 3 cards just to say Hi, I have finally managed one of Bex’s challenges too!
Its absolutley tipping down here-so after a comfort food lunch of fish finger sandwiches I may be back with some more cards

I’m back! I have finished the CJ, really enjoyed it once I’d forced myself to start.
I’ve also mad a RAK to send out next week, I’m part of a RAK (random act of kindness) group at Carolyns forum. I’m feeling a bit slack, they’ve had a BIG Challenge week and I haven’t managed to do a single one-life just got in the way this week, but I’ve loved seeing everyone’s work.
So I normally just shove a load of crafty bits in an envelope for my RAK’s but this week I thought I’d actually alter something to send it in.

It started life as a tin of travel sweets. Ihave a few more things floating around to alter-maybe I’ll make that a project for next week

I really should be doing my pages for the CJ-it has to be posted Tuesday-but I just can’t get my head round it. It will be done in time though, I promise Mel!!
Two very boring Fathers day cards-I’ve already done all the hobbies and interests to death. Paper by Dovecraft, stamp came free with a magazine.
I’ve been asked to design an adoption announcement so I came up with these two-now I prefer the spaceship, but the cars one would be so much easier to do, I can sit and colour the cars in infront of the tv- so now I really don’t know which one I want her to chose!

Thats probably it folks till Monday, I have to be in the office Saturday and Sunday while Hubby updates the PC’s. I’m taking craft stuff in though, I have 70 thank you cards to make so I won’t get too bored hehehe

Sorry no new cards to report-been a busy weekend with friends over and clearing the loft to move.
But I have some good news-a parenting website, www.familyrapp.co.uk is going to run a competition-with 5 of my cards as the prize!!
So I’ve been busy trying to tidy up the website for all the new visitors (I hope) Its like having your mother in law over, you want everything to look neat and tidy hehehehe.
The lovely Andra over at Wildflower stamps has kindly said I can use her stamps on my cards for the site too-she is sooo talented, I love the $1 range and the new distressed sunflower. So tonight there may be a few new cards to go on here at last!

My first card for the Big Challenge at Carolyns- very, very simple, but I like the colours.
I plan to do a mini book about our house, its our first home together an we are moving soon so I’d like something as a reminder of where we started out to look back on in the years to come.
I’ve fixed the lightbox so I now have no excuse not to finish the wedding invitations.
Had a bit of good news today (not telling yet) but it means I need to do some more work to my website over the weekend to spruce it up a bit, and add some more girl’s birthday cards-might try a couple of shallenges for inspiration-boys are sooo much easier!!
I have a busy weekend planned though so not sure how much time I’ll have to sneak up here and craft-bad timing with the challenge weekend, hopefully I can catch up a bit in the week
Boxes packed for the move = 4

Sorry no cards today- there are lots of challenges I’m planning on trying (hmm is it cheating to combine a couple?)
After my waffling about maybe giving up the adoption card website what happens? An order for 2 cards yesterday morning, then one for 25 in the afternoon!!!!! Must be from a social worker to want that many. So I’m very pleased but very busy.
Just found 5 minutes (yes I’m at work) to emboss a few more wedding invitations-and my lightbox has died ;-(. I’m hoping its just the lightbulb, and also hoping its not some specialist type I have to track down-wish me luck!

Caught up on some challenges tonight .We’ve been talking about chipboard on Carolyns so I finally used some! I combined it with the rubber stamp challenge-Make a Cut

Then over to the Daring Cardmakers-first time I’ve ever done a challenge there although I read it every week, this week the theme is food. I remembered I had this little mouse stamp

Thats the lot for today-I’ve embossed 35 wedding invitations with lilies too so my wrist has now packed up-the joys of having HMS ;-(

What did I do before templates??? This is from Di Hickman’s template-very versatile I’ve got an idea in my head with candles so must try that soon.
I’m still trying to decide what to do about my cardmaking website. I sell adoption cards online-http://www.paperpenguins.co.uk but apart from Google adwords its hard to find the right place to advertise. I envy the very talented people I know who make wedding stationery, they have lots of wedding orientated websites and magazines to advertise in. I’m at a loss how to promote it any further now.
I shouldn’t moan-I’m doing a small wedding order at the moment, although why I used embossed lilies when I knew I had 70 to do I just don’t know!!
